Located in the restored Baptist Church, the Historical Association is dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Town of Roseboom. Events such as lectures, art shows & performances.
Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association
A non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to acquiring and preserving historical sites in and around the Village of Schoharie. Our main goal is to restore such sites and make them available to the public for educational and cultural enrichment.
Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs
National shrine of North American martyrs and birthplace of St. Kateri Tekawitha. 400+ acres of landscape, Masses in the Coliseum, museum, visitor center.
Springfield
Town
Established in 1797, the Town of Springfield is rich in history, natural beauty, and recreational opportunities. Known as “The Place to be on the 4th of July”, Springfield has hosted an annual 4th of July Parade and Celebration in the hamlet of Springfield Center since 1914, adding an evening concert and firework display held at Glimmerglass State Park beach to the annual July 4th festivities in 2014.
Stone Quarry Hill Art Park
Experience Art in Nature
Inspired by the relationship between art and nature, the Art Park is dedicated to providing a unique environment for the showcasing of art by emerging and established artists in natural and gallery settings. 104 acres and 4 miles of trails.
The Farmers Museum
Step back in time at one of the nation’s premier living history museums. Founded in 1943, the museum offers a glimpse into 19th-century rural and village life. See a blacksmith shop in action, ride the Empire State Carousel, try fun hands-on activities, see the Cardiff Giant and so much more.
The TePee
Probably the most well known landmark and roadside attraction and gift shop along Route 20. Breathtaking 100 mile views of the Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Mountains. Part of Americana past.
Town of Pompey Historical Society
The Town of Pompey Historical Society is located on Route 20 and the Pompey Center Road. Its mission is to collect, preserve and disseminate its history with exhibits, publications and programs.
