Foothill Hops Farm Brewery and Brewshop

A lot of things have changed since 2001 when Foothill Hops established Madison County's first commercial hopyard in over 50 years. After leading the movement to re-establish hops as a specialty crop and being instrumental in the establishment of farm breweries in New York, they opened Madison County's smallest farm brewery in 2017. A goal to see hops and beer in Central New York have an agri-tourism and economic impact equal to wine and grapes in the Finger Lakes became a personal reality for owners Kate and Larry Fisher.

A visit to their farm and tasting room on Route is sure to satisfy your thirst for information on hops history, hops horticulture, hops processing, and brewing. You will always find something fresh and exciting as their team develops new and interesting beer styles and continuously works to update the tasting room, outdoor areas, and production facility. Of course, the fresh air, costumes, music, games, and geeky science are all fun, too!

All beers in the brewery are made with local grains and their hops in every drop and Foothill Hops is happy to support other farm beverage businesses by serving a wide selection of NYS wines, ciders, and spirits. Grab a bite to eat from a food truck on Monday evenings during the summer, or enjoy an appetizer or flatbread from their kitchen, while sipping a cold pint from an ever-changing lineup of 100% NYS ingredient beers.
